55 word stories

These are pretty fun, I like doing them to get myself in the creative mood... Give them ago for yourself, only one rules: Has to be 55 words. This is the first of many I hope to post.

Peace out

The day was clear and bright, the tall grass swayed with the breeze moving the dandelions ever so slightly. Birds sang in the east, songs of joy and not caring for the frustrations of the world around them. Jane ran through the soft green field dodging bullets from the deranged serial killer in the west

  1. I love it, rad story. I think it would make a good film clip for a band or something.

Thought I'd give it a go to, here is my 55 word story, not as much action as yours though-

“Man was never meant for time-travel...” Eric thought.

He woke up startled, his hand thumping his alarm.
“Not another dream…” Eric couldn’t remember.
This occurred a lot recently, he dreamed of time-travel right before the alarm.
“Man was never meant to time-travel...” he thought to himself.

He woke up startled, his hand thumping his alarm…

  2. Here's my 55 word story although its not as cool as your's lol.

The dripping water created an intense fury of thoughts in her mind. Drip drip drip drip drip drip it went tormenting her with the endless noise. The howling wind blew through the trees. Feet stomped and china rattled. It was always loud and endless. Would she ever hear silence... If only her eyes could see.

oh i added the word drip a few extra times so it would add to 55!
